Head of the Teaching Department of CECOPAC visited the Peace Support Operations Training Centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina

During the week of December 12 to 15 of the present year, the Head of the Teaching Department of the Chilean Joint Peacekeeping Operations Centre (CECOPAC), Major José Miguel Carrera Calderon, visited the Peace Support Operations Training Centre of Bosnia and Herzegovina - PSOTC.

The objective of the delegation was to initiate conversations and define a possible exchange of instructors and students regarding the courses currently imparted in both training centres, about subjects related to Peacekeeping Operations; he toured around the facilities of the institute and learned about the academic offer of the PSOTC.

He also visited the personnel of CHILFOR 17, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Rubén Segura Flores, who works as Chief of the Chilean Contingent that fulfill duties in the Headquarters of the “ALTHEA” Mission, on Camp Butmir, and also visited NATO Headquarters, which carries out duties parallel to the mission.

Finally, he meet with personnel from CHILFOR 17 that occupy positions at Banja Luka as a Liaison and Observation Team (LOT), being able to contrast the tools and knowledge acquired by them on the Pre-deployment course carried out in CECOPAC.
